Required Documents 
The following documents are required to get married in the Dominican Republic, please make sure that they are complete and correct to avoid any inconveniences.

  Birth Certificate
  Statutory Declaration

- Divorce Certificate
- Original Documentation
- Death Certificate of former spouse
- Evidence of parental consent by

IMPORTANT

   
Please make sure that the names in all the documents are exactly the same to avoid problems with the judge. 
Dominican law requires ladies to be divorced at least 10 months prior to remarrying.
The divorce certificate must be translated by a judicial translator and legalized by the Dominican Embassy in your country.
The judicial translator must stamp the translation.
The statutory declaration may not be older than three months, it must be translated into Spanish by a judicial translator and legalized by the Dominican Embassy in your country.
The judicial translator must stamp the translation.
Do not forget to bring the original documents, not copies.
Minimum two witnesses that are NOT family members.
